Weatherization Program

CEC is pleased to offer a residential weatherization program to our members. This program can help owners of electrically heated homes improve efficiency, control heating costs, and increase comfort levels. The home must have an energy analysis done before work begins. Based upon the results of the free analysis, CEC will recommend specific weatherization measures. You may then apply for a cash discount or a low-interest rate loan to finance the project.

How much is the discount?

$   0.60	per square foot for windows in single-family dwellings.
$   0.40	per square foot for windows in multi-family dwellings.
$   0.25	per square foot for ceiling insulation.
$   0.50	per square foot for floor insulation.
$   0.50	per square foot for wall insulation.
$300.00	per system for duct sealing.

What are the terms of the loan?

Through our lending partner, Bank of the Cascades, you can get a loan covering 100% of job costs up to $5000. There is no loan fee and no penalty for early payment.
